Deanna's Birthday Bash!

Birthday Girl Deanna is turning the big "46" and wants to
celebrate with us all by having us share a few baby photos of
ourselves! We can all OOH and AAH over how cute and
adorable we baby bloggers were. To see the full list of the
baby partiers, go to Deanna's blog, Timeless Things. You can
also click on the invitation above to get the details to the second
day of the celebration, tomorrow, and catch a glimpse of what
she has in store. She's doing her Birthday up BIG! So come and
join in the FUN!

This is a picture of me and my Great Great Grandmother,
Nanny and me, when I was a mere two weeks old. I was born
on June 17, 1974 at 12:55 PM. I was two weeks early and
weighed 6 lbs 10 oz. To hear my Mom tell it, out of her 4
children, she had the worst labor with me, sorry Mom!
That was before the epidural was common and most Mothers
had to tough it out!

A couple of months old, my first official photo shoot!

With my Godmother, my Aunt Lisa, at my Christening in
October 1974.

These are some of my favorite pictures taken when I was
small. I think I'm about 4-5 months old. In fact, it's possible
they were taken the night or morning of the Christening.
I look completely goofy and adorable, I think?

My Dad and me, pictures taken at my Grandparent's house. My
Dad spent his High School years here. Of all the houses from my
childhood, lived in or visited, this is the home I miss the most and
still yearn to see. My Grandpa sold it in the middle 1990's after
my Grandma died. I can still drive past and see it, but oh how I
long to go in and see my Grandparents there again!

A Cousin and me. I recently babysat for her little boy, who is
3 years old!

This is one of my favorite pictures of my older Sister and me.
We are only 15 months apart, so we were always doing
everything together, including photo ops, not that we had much
choice! Our Mom often dressed us alike, or at least made sure
we were color coordinated and looking all put together and
CUTE!

Thanks for strolling down memory lane, be sure to tune in
tomorrow when we get all gussied up for the FANCY portion
of Deanna's Birthday Bash!

Oh Sares! I love your hair. You had such beautiful curls. I have hair that is straight as a string, and even as a child Moma gave me those "Tony" permanents, they didn't last. Even the Dippity Do didn't work on my hair. Do you still have the curls today? Love your post. Thanks for stopping by this morning. "Country Hugs", Sherry

You are one adorable baby girl! Your hair is to die for girl!

Thank you so much for making my day special. I just feel so blessed to have met such a warm and loving group of ladies here and that they can share in the special events in our lives.

Thank you again Sares,

First of all, I didn't know anyone else actually used "whipper snapper". My Paw Paw use to call me that and I still say it today. You brought some fond childhood memories...thank you for that.

Now, those curls, woo-hoo!!! They look just adorable. So, how much fun did you have going thru your pictures, looking for each special pic?
Take care,
Stevie

Curl update-I do not still have those cute curls. I'm lucky if I can get a bit of wave when it's wet. My two sisters however both have beautiful curls. My older one wears them proudly, my younger sister flat irons hers most days. The curls came from our Dad,his were tightly wound when he was younger, now it's just fuzzy!

You look so pretty in these pictures! I love the one with you and your sister in the red dresses. I bet that your mom had so much fun with y'all, dressing you up to match. My favorite is the one with your Raggedy Ann doll. It is adorable!

I'm the same way about my grandparent's old house. A couple of years ago, when no one was at home, I parked in the driveway and just starred at the house. It made me feel close to them again. Don't know what I would have done if the owner's would have come home! LOL

See you at the party!

You are one beautiful baby! Byisteal and I are admiring those curls. We didn't get to post our baby pictures as Byisteal and I are out in Florida right now with our hubby's and kids on a family reunion. This is the first chance we had to comment on all the party goers! We loved the photo of you and your sissy.
