Birthday Boy

A certain "COWPOKE" turned 4 this weekend!

It's amazing how time flies when they're little...

how fast they grow and how much they learn.

Happy Birthday my sweet Man Cub!
Your Auntie LUUUVES you!

*not that he reads his Auntie's publications yet!

The First Snowfall

We had the first snowfall of the season last week and the Man Cub and I took ourselves a little walk in the falling flakes. He thought it was pretty neat but unfortunately there weren't large enough amounts to really play in which is just as well because he hadn't yet gotten his snow boots for the year.

He has since become fully equipped and is ready and waiting for more snow. Bring it on!

Music Man

Man Cub's big sister is playing an instrument for school.
And since big sister's instrument is worth a pretty penny he needs to keep his little man cub mitts
OFF.

So he thought he needed to have one too.
This was the solution.

It's tuff work bein' a rock star.

The little rock star would like to thank his other Auntie who went guitar shopping with him and
his Nanette and Bumpa for providing the funds to begin his journey to stardom...

where he will make lots and lots of money and support us all in the style to which we would
love to become accustomed!

A Sleeping Angel...

He's pretty sweet when he's sleeping. When he's awake, not so much. He's
going through a phase right now and I'm not sure if I'm going to make it
through the other side!

Now I've not been around many little boys. I have a younger brother, but he
was pretty mellow. The Man Cub is NOT mellow. He's all boy and has a lot
of energy. A LOT of energy. He's doing this thing where you know he's about
to do something he shouldn't,

you tell him not to,
he looks at you,
then does it anyway.
All the while he's looking at you.

Anyone else encountered this problem.

Naptime is also up for grabs. Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
Lord have mercy, I need this kid to have a nap still.

Then there is the picking on the older sister factor. You'd think
since she's quite a bit bigger than him he wouldn't attempt it.

But he does.

I think she's been to0 nice to him. He thinks he can get away
with messing with her and her stuff. Whatever is his is his~ and
whatever is hers is his.

We musn't forget about the whole running from you thing when he knows
he's in trouble. Because he doesn't want to got to time-out.

That's real fun.

Nope this picture wasn't from today. There was no nap today.

I tried.

For and hour.

I gave up when I discovered he had a little surprise for me in his pants.

Yep, REAL fun times here today.

I had 3, count them 3 meltdowns. Tears were involved.

Mine. Not his.

Hope your day went better. Tomorrow will much better for me,
I'm off duty, for 3 whole days!

Auntie's Brag Book

I've got to do it. This Auntie needs needs to brag again.

The need hits every couple of weeks and I can't help myself.
It's an addiction, the cute Man Cub and the blogging,
but they compliment each other SO nicely.

Photobucket

This pretty young lady, my niece , turns 9 today! If you truly want to
measure how fast time flies, just see how quickly the younger
generation
grows!

She has been a blessing from the minute she was born. Easy going, mellow,

kind hearted, and the sweetest little girl you could imagine. She is amazing.

She still is.
Happy 9th Birthday Boo!

Have a great year and may all your wishes come true!

Little Slugger

A little break in the day to take the Man Cub to play some B ball, as

he calls it! I must confess to an ulterior motive, anything that wears him
out is good for me!

Once again, he hit the dirt! He was running so fast he kept tripping
over his own feet. His knees were green when he was done, even
though at this point there is not much green left to the grass.

He's still working on his coordination. Very seldom does the bat actually
make contact with the ball, but he's working on it. He may get to the
major leagues yet!
