Pink Saturday

Happy Pink Saturday! Every Saturday Beverly from How Sweet The

Sound pulls together all the pink addicts together in one place to
celebrate the pink!

Once upon a time, way back when...the family gathered together for an
Easter celebration. I was all aglow in my new Easter dress. In case you
can't tell, I am the one on the left. I have never been a blond. Dar-net.
That's one of my
cousins on the right. The same cousin that is a part
of the whole "All That Jazz" booth. Who knew these two little ladies
would one day take on a business venture together.

Back to the dress...

My dress was all white with a band of pink at the
empire waste and
a little pink bow with roses tying it all together.

This was the favorite dress of my childhood (that I can remember)
followed closely by a strawberry shortcake dress I was addicted to in
the 2nd grade. I wish I still had it but my Mom "loaned" it to another
little girl when I outgrew it and I never got it back. Double darn-it.
She loaned the Strawberry Shortcake dress to the same girl and I
never saw IT again either. Triple darn-it. I know, I have issues.

Back to the dress...

My cousins, siblings and I all gussied up for the camera!

Happy Pink Saturday my loveleighs and I hope you all have a
beautiful Easter
weekend!

Oh Sares...
Happy Pink Saturday and what a beautiful dress this is. I can see why it was one of your favorites. Some things we just remember so well, and this dress touched your very heart. I love it too.

You sure are a precious little brown headed girl Sares. I can't even see you blonde as you are so happy. It shows in your eyes.

Happy Easter sweetie...Country hugs and much love, Sherry

I so relate to the dress story - I was away at college, and my mother gave my stamp album away to a friend's daughter - without even asking me! I was pretty upset - especially as I had an old Egyptian stamp worth around £200 (and that was in the 70s). Which the daughter had thrown away as it wasn't pretty... aaargh!

Happy Pink Saturday and Happy Easter!

Isn't it just precious to see olp photos of families? It's like, was I really that small and cuddly? LOL Good to know that we were that then :-)

My fave Easter memory when I was little was egg hunting. WE would attend mass at dawn and then afterwards was egg hunting for the kids and then everybody will gather round and eat breakfast together :-)

What a lovely post! When I think of Easter dresses I always think of the stiff, funny-smelling dotted-swiss my mother always made my Easter dresses from. Such good memeories!

Wishing you a blessed Easter.

Sares, sweet friend ~ What an adorable picture of you all 'prettied up'. You are the cutest!

Every year Mother hand created into the wee hours of the morn, a new dress for each of we 4 girls ... we had to look our best always for church.

Happy Easter!
Have a beautiful weekend.

Sareski, I IMMEDIATELY knew which little girl you were, when I looked at the photo!!!!!!! :)

As if you're my childhood bestie!!!!! :)

My Easter Sunday dresses were always yellow with white lace trimming. :)

Oooh Sares~I can see why this lace pink ribbon dress would be your favorite.
Your story brought back my own memories of ruffled dresses and white patent leather shoes. Along with...trying to sleep in a head full of pink plastic rollers, later to be replaced by sponge rollers which were suppose to be more comfortable..."NOT!" The best was when those rollers were removed and my hair was brushed into the biggest "POOF BALL" the size of fresh spun cotton candy, lol!! Yup, those were the days!

Sweet wishes,
Sara
