Makeovers and a Man Cub

Hi Peeps! I hope you all had a great weekend. I had a family reunion on Saturday. We had perfect weather and it is always great to see everyone. The only downside is I missed The Barn House Flea Market and A Vintage Gathering which I was really excited about attending this year but unfortunately the dates clashed.

So, I've been surfing the blogs to find pictures of what I missed! Maybe it's better not to know about all that chippy rusty vintage goodness!

Any-hoo, back to the BUSINESS at hand, the makeovers! I got this little dresser at a garage sale recently and I gave her a facelift.

Here she is. First I had to give it a good scrubbing. The rubber gloves and BLEACH kind of scrubbing. Then I painted the drawer fronts our signature Jamaican Aqua and sanded the edges. I was planning to buy some new knobs but I found these from a previous project and thought they fit the bill. I left the top and sides the original shabby HEAVILY distressed white because it would have been a nightmare to work with and I don't know if it's lead paint or just enamel.

At the last minute I decided to add a bird stencil. What do you think?

Yeah or nay? I just thought it added an extra something but I know stenciling isn't for everyone. Most of the time I'm not a fan but there are some great stencils out there these days.

Say WHAT!!!

Look who thought it was a big joke to jump into my picture. That Man Cub is up to his old antics.

I TOLD him if he did that I was going to take his picture and put his tiny hiney on my blog for everyone to see. He did it anyway.
