I did a little shopping last weekend at some fun craft/primitive/antique shows. The events we went to have shows 3-4 times a year and they are always beautiful and full of inspiration. These are the shows that jump started us into the booth business.
If you saw my previous post, you know I was debating how to decorate my little Christmas tree I put up in my bedroom. Should I go pink like last year? Or try something else? The overwhelming majority said I should go pink. They might be a bit biased since they are the "Pink Crowd" I hang with each Saturday!
Unfortunately while out shopping I came across these pretties and knew that pink was out of the running.
Some of that inspiration I was talking about hit and I came up with...
A more traditional tree in red and greens.
I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, it's a nice change from last year. Pay no attention to the picture hanging behind the dresser. I recently moved furniture around and have yet to move it to a new spot. Just pretend you don't see it.
I sincerely hope you all have a very joyous NOEL!
Oh Sares you have indeed inspired me with all this holiday sparkle! Such gorgeous pictures!!
Oh my goodness thank you so very much !
I have been in real need of some inspiration .
Life has been so full of obstacles this past year and than this week we have two funerals needless to say I have been really down in the dumps .
Thank you so much for lifting me up and out .
I am off now to jot down some things I have here at home to decorate with !
God Bless you .
Until next time
I love it! Too funny, great minds think a like- I did red on my tree, too! Actually, red large balls, and small gold, red fabric reindeer, pine cones, then just an assortment of ornaments I've collected. No other fancy stuff, I really don't have enough branches on my wild tree, LOL!
I absoluely love, love your tree.
It's so pretty with all that sparkly red.
Even though I am one of the pinkest bloggers around, my tree is very traditional with lots of greens and reds. Sometimes pink has to come in second! LOL.
Oh I love hos this looks - so festive and dripping with holiday cheer!
And, I'm shopping with you next year!!!
Your tree is gorgeous! I am in love with the old red truck photo! Did you take that? I would love to copy it for my son's room. Would you mind? He has a vintage theme room and has a pillow with an old red truck. If you'd rather not, it's ok. No harm done in asking.
Thank you for sharing all these beautiful inspirational photos!
Have a happy day!
You know I love pink as much as you do....but you can't beat the traditional either! It turned out lovely! Love the bells made from the little molds!! super cute idea!
Who could blame you for wanting the more traditional colors on your tree? They both are beautiful. I love the snow at the top of your page.
Hi Sares, so many beautiful photos. Love all the awesome decorations.
What GORGEOUS Christmas inspiration! These photos are lovely. :) Theresa
Oh my how I love it all! But the jello mold ornaments are brilliant!! I have a ton and this would be such a super idea! Hope you are having a great Christmas!!
I do believe, it really is about that time, it's almost Christmas!!!! :) Last night I was in a place I've never been to before, it snowed when I wanted it to, and the flowers grew on the streets (not beside the streets, but ON the streets) and the trees grew downwards instead of upwards! And I picked peaches from a cherry tree! The most wonderful peaches, ever!!!!!!!!!!! And that's how I know it's almost Christmas!!!!!! :) :)
I love your new little Christmas tree, and I find it very creative how you have the face of papa Noel tucked in there, with his flowing beard and all! I love that touch! :)
I'm very thankful for our friendship, and I'm here to wish you much joy, peace, and happiness in the coming holidays, and in the new year ahead! Magic, too! Always magic!
I love your words...the BOOTH BUSINESS. Now you have named it! It is a little cottage style business with some jazz for sure!
Wind is blowing, lights are flickering and it's my day off. Tuck away, tuck away, all day long.
Quite frankly, I'm exhausted being an elf at Michael's! What an adventure that's been!
HELLO Sares~How I wished you could come and perform that Christmas decorating magic in my home. I'm feeling that 11th hour crunch.
Hubs and I did hit some (purposeful) late night shopping.
There was hardly a sole in the whole place!! We treated ourselves to a (very) late dinner too. It was truly a fun way to beat the Christmas (shopping)rush.
Your beautiful tree brings back a flood of my own childhood Christmas tree with it's classic decor.
It's good to be back, I hope you get a chance to stop by for a visit.
P.S. Could you tell me (in baby steps, lol) how to add falling snow to my blog background?
Hi Sares! Red is good to, I use alot of red in my kitchen... even my toaster and coffee pot are red. your tree looks beautiful! the pillows would have been calling me too...LOL!
