Pink Saturday

Happy Pink Saturday! I hope you are well rested for some pink.

Just an update on my Foo Foo Girl. After having 10 teeth pulled last week, she is well on the mend. Occasionally she'll paw at her mouth when the stitches bother her but they should dissolve soon.  Unfortunately tooth decay was the issue. She will NOT let anyone brush her teeth. The Vet did say they have a new liquid out you add to their water that is supposed to help with doggie plaque so we are going to try that route. We don't want her to lose the remaining 8 teeth she has left! Thank you to all of you who said a wee little puppy prayer for her while she was going through her ordeal!

Thank you Beverly from How Sweet The Sound for once again hosting our Pink Saturday. She is so sweet to pull this all together for us each week. You can find all the pink links at HOW SWEET THE SOUND.

Have a spectacular weekend my loveleighs, I know I will because my Sister is coming in from out of town to help celebrate my Dad's 60th Birthday although I think he would be just as happy to let it pass unnoticed!

A Weekend of Shopping

My Mom and I and small table I scored

Hi my loveleighs! I haven't been here since last Thursday, it seems like forever! Last weekend my Mom, my Cousin Michelle and did some serious shopping. First we went to the fairgrounds where they had 8 or 9 buildings full of garage sale booths. It was lots of fun! A WIDE variety of things for sale.

After about 2 1/2 hours we went back to a couple of booths where we left some of our bigger purchases. We took our own hand truck just in case. It came in handy. I bought this mirror, the table, a scale, 5 old sewing machine drawers, some vintage Christmas ornaments, a metal cart and a small urn. For my personal use I bought a vintage pair or pillow cases with pink crochet around the edges. One of us bought LOTS of things for herself and NOT for Jazz. This person shall remain nameless. But she should be ASHAMED of herself. HEE HEE HEE! And it was NOT me!

Next stop...Fall Fun!

Michelle smelling the merchandise. I also bought one of these candles~Gingerbread Crumb,YUMMY!
My ONLY other PERSONAL purchase!
HEE HEE HEE!

Told ya there'd be rosehips!

I spied this as soon as I walked in the door and snatched it right up!

Displayed in our space later that day.

Michelle and I. If we look a wee bit squinty it's because the sun was in our eyes.
I loved this bench swing, there were two of them.

 Mom and I.

The little magazine rack table I found.

The scale.

The old sewing machine drawers. Love these! I might have to pull one out for myself.
The little urn is in the back.

The old cart found at the garage sales. This didn't even make it in the space and it sold! We just placed it here for a couple of weeks because it's new owner couldn't haul it home just yet. She lives out of town and she and her friend already had a full car from junking.

Yep, it was a pretty successful day but more importantly we had a blast! It was tiring though.
Shopping always is but it's worth it in the end!

Autumn Days Are Here

I am off for the weekend to usher Autumn in with gusto! Friday night kicks off our Harvest Night Sale
where we have our booth.  There will be lots of stores participating in the downtown area and things will be marked from 20-50% off. Our booth will be 25-30%.

Saturday we plan to hit some local Autumn Harvest sales. Can you say...

Antiques
Primitives
Handmades
Country Furniture
Pumpkins
Candles
Rosehips
Old quilts
Rusty Farm Junk
fall flowers
Cornstalks
Signs
Garden Art

Sound like fun?!!!

I'm looking forward to it! These type of sales are what inspired us to start our own booth to begin with.
We would love to do sales on our own "Ranch" but that is dream for the future! We're waiting for the ranch first. Or hitting the lottery in order to afford the ranch. Pipe dream but a dream nonetheless.

On a side note, please say a little prayer for my sweet and ornery Foo Foo Girl. She had to go to the vet this morning to get her teeth cleaned and a tooth extraction. 10 teeth to be exact. Poor thing. She has to stay all night because of her age, nearly 14. I am certain she is NOT a happy camper. I have only been away from her 2 or 3 nights in her entire 14 years. I keep tuning around expecting to see her and think I'm catching sight of her out of the corner of my eye. Weird. The one thing I don't miss~the yapping. But I miss HER.
The Vet said she's on some pretty heavy duty pain killers though so she's probably doing better than me!

Have a terrific weekend my loveleighs and Happy Pink to any of you Pinkies!
