Preparations for the new Venture!

Here are a few of the items we've been wo
rking on for our section in the
antique shop! Above, vases from the $1 Store that have been fancified.

I also made a paper wreath a couple weeks ago. I have seen these all over the

blogs and thought I would give it a go. It was pretty easy, just tedious and used
up copious amounts of glue gun glue. I will make more though, I loved the
way it
turned out.

Re-vamped vintage bottles...

more bottles...

and another bottle!

A birdhouse from Michael's $1 section I made over.

The ever popular tags! We're going to try to sell there and see how it goes.

They seem to be popular right now, we'll see if ours are.

A round pillow made from a vintage doily and chenille bedspread. This is the

one thing in the bunch I didn't make, I CAN'T sew! My Auntie made this and
it's a favorite of mine! Go Auntie!

Little boxes from Michaels. These are lots of fun to do too.

So that's just some of what I've been up to. Plus shopping to get some display

pieces for our booth. We hit the jackpot yesterday! Now all we have to do is
more crafting, painting, labeling, inventory, washing up, packing up. Yep we've
got lots to keep us busy. We should be done in no time, right? RIGHT?
March 20th or BUST BABY!

We're so EXCITED!

I'll make sure to take before and after pictures for you when we put
it all together. In the meantime, I've given me-self a blog makeover.
I felt the need for COLOR. I will be around to visit you all again soon
and I am hoping to get back to posting more. I've missed you all!

Best of luck with your plans!!!

Oh yes I notice the blog change.

I did love the softness of the lovely last one. Loved it madly.

But if you felt you needed color, it is your blog. Yes it is.

Really enjoyed your blog.
I found your site this morning while broswing my daughter Gwen's blog. She talked me into doing a blog last summer. I am not as talented or creative as she ..but I try.
