Oh My Gosh, I want them all!!! For such a tom-boy, I have a fairly large girly streak and have a soft spot for pink! Oh man, I tried and tried to pick a favorite and I just can't. I especially love all the lacy, layered, tulle ones. What a great post!

Beautiful dresses! And in pink too!

Oh Sares...how could you? Tempt me that is! LOL!! If I had to choose a favourite it would have to be the most frilly cotton candy dress of all...the third from the bottom.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Warmest hugs,
Sandi @ Bearly Sane

Oh, do I EVER remember these gowns/dresses! Telling, aren't I?
They weren't comfortable for all the 'stays' that held the tops up on the strapless gowns, particularly if you didn't have enough to fill or hold up the tops ... I remember them well!

I guess you missed the piece I did on G'ma & G'pa (twice) & mentioning Somerville ... When G'ma married G'pa, Mr. Somerville gave G'ma the cooking table/counter that she used to work on at the Somerville Mill. I have this piece & use it as an island in my kitchen ... don't know what happened to the back of it. G'pa worked at the mill & that is where they met. They lived in Napavine until ca. 1916/7 when they moved into town.

Happy St. Patrick's Day
Have a lovely weekend ~

Wheeeeee... 1950's glamour! Been there, done that, got the T-shirt! :-)

My Mother used to make my prom gowns! :-) We'd go look at gowns in store windows, and she'd come home and make them. :-)

Ahhhhhhhh tulle! Ahhhh, pink "roses" carefully places here and there, under layers and layers of white tulle skirt! :-)

Gentle hugs for the weekend...

Your Nana once had a dress that was almost the color of the last coral one! Buba got it for her for Xmas one year. It had long sleeve lace sleves...I just loved seeing her wear it when she and dad went out. You should ask her if she still has it??? She gave me some of her other dresses that she used to wear...but not that one!!!

Absolute beauty! One of them is identical to the dress my sister wore when she got married only hers was NOT pink :)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Wow! I love them all. I wore a similar one to my prom in the mid 1960's. I always loved that dress. My baby sis used it for dress up years later. Wonder what happened to it. I had matching pink shoes and purse. I was styling. Thanks for bringing back the "happy days" of youth.

Happy Pink Saturday.

I so glad that ruffles and frills are in right now. Women used to be so feminine. Maybe we are going back to those days again.

Those dresses, I want them all. Every new moon I will find one, I should say I get to look at one since the prices are always so high and top of all the condition of the dresses most of the time is poor. To dream...Blessings, Marta.

The more lace the better...I LOVE the fourth one down...there was a day I could twirl in that all day long! Now, I can't get the zipper up but I'm dreaming in pink and in pink...all dreams come true.
Beautiful post Sares, lovely...just like you.

Oh that Salmon one with the pearls 2nd up from the bottom is ME!!! Love this post. My sister and her friends used to dress like this for their proms...She was several years older than me, I remember sitting on the bed watching them get ready for the dances and just dreaming for the day when i could wear dresses like those! But, they weren't in style when I got there. :-(

Hi Sares ... I loved looking at all the pretty party dresses ...they reminded me of my prom dress back in 1960 .. It looked pretty much like the ones you posted .. soft blue with a wide silk comber-bun ... I wish I had saved it ... I remember my Dad giving me $100.00 to buy my prom outfit .. I bought my 'beautiful dress, matching pumps, long white gloves, pantyhose and a tiara ...I don't think that would buy the shoes now a days ...lol
