It's a heat wave!

<span class=

I'm wishing for a little bit of THIS right now! Temperatures
have been above the 90 degree mark the last few days with
no end in sight and today is expected to reach over 103!
This just doesn't happen here in the Northwest.

I miss the rain!!!

However, I"m VERY thankful for the invention of the
air conditioner!!! I can't even get out for my walks or any
bike riding, unless I go at 6:00 in the morning, and that
AIN"T happening! It was still 84 out last night at 11:00!

On a side note, I want to tell you all that I won't be posting
about anymore giveaways for a while, I feel like I've gotten
off track for a while now and need to get back on. This does
NOT mean I won't be ENTERING anymore! I will place
any new giveaways that come my way on my left sidebar,
where there are already a few goodies listed! Be sure to
check there for anything new, I'll be adding one today from
Lee Laurie at a Southern Rose, so be sure to go and see her.

I have been slacking on the continuation of my Historical
Borst House series! I have been putting it into high gear
and am hoping to have it done for you next week. I am
having to split it into about 5 different posts, so it is taking
some time.

Until then, if you live in this scorching heat, stay cool and safe
and I'll see you all back here on Friday for the Heirloom
Party, over at Emma Calls Me Mama!

Ah, having lived in Vancouver, Washington for a short spell I know how unusual the heat is up your way. It is ALWAYS like that for us here. Drink lots of fluids, stay away from caffeine. Hugs, Marsha

I feel the heat here too. It is insane and insufferable. And when we can go out early in the morning and late in the evening we get eaten alive by mosquitos. I LOVE summer time!

Sares...it thunder stormed so badly here twice yesterday (Oklahoma). Both my front and back yards are covered with debris from trees, shrubs, etc. Looks like a war zone. The hail was terrible.

Next time I'm going to pray for a GENTLE SPRINKLING of water...not rain!

I'm learning to be MORE SPECIFIC with my prayers.

Yup! You sure are getting terrible heat out there .. our family lives near you & are suffering, also. As a child when we got heat waves like this I remember the fire dept. opening up the fire hydrants & we kids had a ball .. not often we/y'all get heat like this ... BUT ... be everso grateful you do not get the high humidity that we get with even lesser temps, Sares.

Oh, WHOPPEE!! More Borst Park ... I am dying to see what else you post. The lady from Borst historical got in touch with me. TYSM. I love revisiting my/our cildhood places ... TY for sharing, my friend. TTFN ~Marydon

Sares,I am right here with you honey. We have been 114+ for weeks now. Yesterday in the shade again on our back porch the thermometer showed 120+. Now that is hot. It has burnt just about everything there is in my garden. Not much left out there. Have a wonderful day kiddo. Country Hugs and love, Sherry

Hi Sares! So glad you said something about the Heirloom Party. I going to join too. I had a lot of fun with the last one. I know what you mean about the heat. We are having a heat wave too. It is so hard for me in the summer. To top it off, I have my own little personal summer, if you know what I mean! You are the sweetest and the best! Martha

Hey Sares!
Okay, I knew you were talented but that "motion picture" photo of the rain is awesome! It totally caught my attention!!!! Cool!
Not so cool that you are hot though. I wish I could pass some water on to you as it has rained here everyday for the past two weeks. This is some crazy weather we are having and I feel sorry for everyone who is suffering abnormal temps for their regions.
Hang in there and grab the water hose. At least make it fun!

Oh I feel your pain, we are just this week dropping out of the hundred degree temps thanks to some well needed although rare Summer rain. (I'll try and wish it your way) ;)

Oh yes, we could use some rain here. We're on water rationing, can only water lawns Mon. and Thurs. and can be fined for washing off hard surfaces such as porches, sidewalks, etc. We're only allotted a set maximum of water usage. If we go over, we pay extra. Sooooo. . . bring on the rain!

It has been so hot here too! Howver we are finally getting some much needed rain. The air is so heavy though. You get all sweaty when you first walk outside.
Thanks for putting my giveaway on your sidebar.
