Family, Barns and SHOPPING!

So I had a bit of a hectic weekend. Friday started out with a
family get together to visit with my Mom's cousin and her
Mom, who had driven over from Idaho. Of course we had to
throw in a little shopping. We hit the two Cowgirl shops in
town, one was a new discovery, recently opened.

Then on Saturday morning, it was up and at em' bright and
early to get on the road to attend this...

This was something new that I discovered while blogging and
just knew I wanted to go. The Barn House Hosts do several
events a year and this one was hosted at their home in
Battle Ground, WA. They also have a blog, where I discovered
them. You can find it HERE.

I managed to talk several other family members into going, so
by the time we all met up, we were a group of 8, including
my 9 year old nephew, Most Handsome Man who has been
staying for the week. I thought he would be bored, but that
kid is a shopper, let me tell you! His Mama has trained him up
well!

So after a couple hours on the road, we pulled up to this
spectacular event. The Barn House Flea Market. We were
all enormously impressed and fell in love at first sight. All of
vendors had such fun, creative and interesting things to look
at. Lots of eye candy for sure, everywhere you looked. I
didn't actually come away with anything, except for ideas
for creating some of my own things. It was however well
worth going to going to and heaps of fun. I would go back,
especially since my Uncle discovered a shorter route that
would knock at least 20 minutes off the trip!

So I've laid out a pictorial stroll through the Barn House Flea
Market for you. I hope you enjoy it and I'll catch up with you
again at the bottom of the post...

I'd like to thank the Hosts Joe and Jermonne for gifting us
with such a wonderful experience. It had to be an enormous
amount of work and heart that went in to pulling something
so special together. Thank you to all the vendors as well, it
was so much fun to see all the beautiful things you had to
offer!

Even though I came away from the Barn House empty
handed, all was not lost! There was an Antique Fest closer to
home I went to on Sunday and I found a few treasures there!
I'll be sure to show them to you later. I am now, officially, all
shopped out at the moment. I'll have to rest up for the next
round! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend too, I can't
wait to hear about it!

Oh Sares, Can I come to Barn House too with you? You wouldn't have to ask me twice. Oh my gosh, I would be like a kid in a candy store. I am afraid I would go home with a trunkful. My DH would say he was glad we live so far away as he knows I won't make it to that market. Oh Sares thank you so much for sharing. Please pop over and say hi, as I am having a manic Monday. Sares, it was soooooo much fun! Glad you got lots of pics, because I didn't take too many. I may borrow the one of the little bottles since I ended up buying a couple of those, LOL! I have two photographic "I spys" for you: 1. find the picture you took where your mom is looking at those cowgirl boot cards 2. find the picture you took where you took a picture of yourself taking a picture in a mirror! :) Rest up girl, we've got lots more shoppin' to do! xo

Good Morning Sares! Please come to my blog this morning and post a prayer for Amy. I am calling all angels. This is the latest update from 1 hour ago.

Update on Amy! The doctors came in, they talked to Amy and were finally able to get the IV started. Ladies we start praying, it will be 2 more hours now, Amy is back in the procedure room. The Dr.s like to use the artery on the right side of the groin, but Amy had cancer there at the age of 10 and there is scar tissue there, so it may not be possible on the right side and they may have to go to the left. Debbie said that Amy was hesterical this morning, but after talking to the Dr. she had calmed down. The Dr. said they will occlude the corotid artery for 30 minutes, if she shows no sign of a stroke then she will be scheduled for surgery, if at any time in those 30 minutes if she shows a sign of stroke, then the surgery will not be possible. We have jumped the first hurdle with prayer, we move on to the second. Thank you so much for loving our family, Sherry

OMG you went to the Barn House? I'm soooo jealous! I wish I lived closer, errrr. I've been peeking at everyone's photos and I'm already totally broke just by "photo shopping" so maybe it IS a good thing I live so far away.
That yo-yo quilt is to die for!!!
Thanks for taking me with you Sares! I enjoyed it~
