Weekend Tailgate Shopping

My Mom and I went to a Summer Sale and Tailgate Party last weekend at the Country Chicks. This is an event that's held 3-4 times a year. Michelle and I were approached by one of the ladies who runs the sales to join them sometime. She really liked our space and thought our style would sell very well amongst all her other vendors. It is something for us to definitely consider in the future.

There was a great variety of goodies to be had, most at really decent prices too.

But I only came home with this wood caddy. I think I'm going to put tools and paint supplies in it. I may have to go on the hunt for some blue Mason jars to poke things in.

I also hit a few garage sales of course and here's my loot. I think these were some of the best bargains I've found in a long time. Let's just say the $ I spent was in the single digits. Except for the wood caddy, that was a wee bit more. Everything needs a makeover though. Bring on the paint.

Man Cub not included. He thought he was pretty funny sneaking in the chair when I wasn't looking.

Hope you have a great week!

Hi Sares,

Looks like a fun place to go and check out and love what you came home with. That will be great for holding your supplies.
Looks like the little chair has been made for the cute Man cub.

Happy week

I think you'll have trouble getting Man Cub out of that chair, he looks quite at home!
I'll keep my fingers crossed you win the Chalk Paint, then you can get started on the makeovers, without any extra expense.
Warmest hugs,
Sandi

This post speaks to the farm girl in me. I have often thought of joining MaryJanes Farm Farm chicks and earning their merit badges. There is something about all the wood products in the country look that just warms your heart. I knew this sale was coming. I had picked up a postcard on it. I would love to go one day. Thanks for taking me there on your blog Sares. That was a great compliment to be invited!

I marvel at your life, Sares! And there's a bit of envy there, too! Oh how I would love to be able to paint things and buy pretty things and then paint them and then collect all the prettiness and then sell the pieces that I've beautified! Your life is a glamorous one, that is what I think, and I don't care what anybody else thinks! It's what I think! You're happy, and happiness is glamour!

I once painted my outdoor trash bin in bright colors, because I didn't want an ugly trash bin sitting out there on my lawn! :) That's before I started living in an apartment in a condo, with no lawn, no trash bin to be responsible for!

Sareski, I added a link to your book review of my book, to my book's web site. When people visit my website now, they will see a new page in the menu bar called "Customer Reviews" and if they click that, they'll see the link to your website where your review of my book is. :)

Love,
bells

Wow! What a wonderful event! I have been thinking about getting with some other junkin' women here and starting our own! There are a few here and there, but we could definitely use more!

Love your finds, too! I have done well recently also! My items are for our 13 yo daughters room makeover, and I will be sharing that soon!

Have a lovely week, Sares!
Hugs,
Becky
