Makeover Madness...

I spent the weekend gathering supplies to help makeover this beautiful trunk.

Hee Hee Hee!

I bought this last Summer at a garage sale. I had plans to make it over, but first took it to
the booth last Fall to see if anyone was interested before I put some elbow grease into it.

They weren't.
Can't say as I blame them. It IS ugly. It did work for my "Junk In The Trunk"
sale though, before I brought it home to redo before Christmas.

It's almost done. I'll show you the finished product soon, I need to do some stenciling still.

This is my second makeover in progress. I saw this at Goodwill and wanted it, but passed.
I was worried I wouldn't be able to get the cushion off to recover it.

I thought about it all night and went back the next day to see if it was still there and thank
goodness it was.  It's going to get a paint job and a new cushion cover.

The paint and fabric have been purchased, let's just say it's going in the "French" direction.

Foo Foo just had to check things out and sniff around a bit.
Make sure it was on the up and up.

Then today Mom and I worked at the shop where we have our booth. It's fun for a
change and gives me a chance to tinker in our booth and see what other vendors are doing.

Hope you all have a good weekend! Snow may be in the forcast for us here this week.
I can't wait!

Hi Sares,
I just love the way you Texas girls always look so stylish. You and your Mom are beautiful.

I love your booth too and I'd give an arm and leg for that zebra rug.

I'm in the mood for some makeover madness myself. I love the french chair and it's going to look fab.
Can't wait to see the trunk.

Sares, you are so lucky. In my area if you see something you better buy it. I would have snap that one in a second, it is a beautiful chair. Your booth looks great and I'm amazed at how quickly it changes. I think you have found your niche and that is a blessing, many people try and fail. I hope your business continue to grow and prosper this year. Blessings, Marta.
PD I just noticed in one of your comments; Are you in TX or from TX?

Hi girlfriend...

7 inches at my house this morning and two hours later down to four inches...rain. That's okay! My day off, I want to go thrifting! Yep!

Did a post on my booth today and what to do and not to do. I would love to feature you and your booth on my blog. Is that okay with you?

All is well up yonder here. I've just been working very part time and staying tucked in and organizing every corner of my house.

I do have a huge case of spring fever however that won't seem to go away!

We sold 68 items last month...I was thrilled!

I would love your shop, and I would purchase that trunk once it is don. It is sad that I can't see your shop. Your mom and you are both so pretty! How nice it must be to work with her like that!

I keep having trouble seeing your blog. I'm surprised that it actually opened your site to me today. I've missed visiting.
