A Jazzy Christmas!

Jazz is all decked out for the holidays! We had a slight hitch in our giddy~up. Or should I say a major hitch. Due to unseemly weather, you know, the freezing snowing icy icky messiness we had last week? Yep, THAT nastiness put a crimp in our plans. Travel plans had to make some adjustments due to the road conditions and by the time Cousin M got here we only had a little over an hour to work on things. I know. How in the cotton pickin' world are you supposed to completely transform your booth in an hour. You don't.

Since the following day was Thanksgiving and the shop was closed, it was left to me and me ALONE to get the job done on Friday. Everyone else had prior commitments. The down side~it was slightly lonely without anyone to work with. The upside~I got to do whatever I wanted!

We love this little white shabby table that sits atop the bigger table. It works great for display purposes. Yesterday I got the dreaded, yet highly anticipated call~the little white shabby table has sold.

And your stuff is all over the place and needs fixed.

Man that's a call I love and hate at the same time.

Especially when you've just spent hours designing a vignette around it.

Now if the BIG table under all this stuff sells, we're in BIG trouble.

We may have to display stuff on the floor.

That could be attractive.

There's me. Where oh where are you Cousin M?  Mom?  Auntie?  Nana...Anyone?

Just kidding! My Mom actually took this picture on Sunday. She and I worked in the shop for a few hours to help get a commission discount. Every bit helps and it's fun for a few hours to play shopkeeper.

The only downside to running the shop? During the downtime you have time to shop in the other booths. Now strictly speaking, I actually only took one thing from our own booth so it doesn't really count. However dear old  Mom spent a good chunk of change. She's dangerous that way. She's also Cousin M's best repeat customer.

Most of this spectacular merchandise will still be there on Saturday. We're having a Christmas Open House/Sale on December 4th from 3-7. Everything in Painted Lady Vintage will be on sale, from 10% off all the way up to 50%. I do hope some of you can make it, we would love to meet you and have you join us!

Thanksgiving has come and gone. The turkey is all gone and the cranberries too. The food was delicious and seeing the family was wonderful. I nixed the Christmas tree lighting because it was SO cold. We did do the midnight madness sales and it WAS madness. I bought a few things but I don't think I'll be doing it again anytime soon. I prefer to be home in bed at 1 o'clock in the morning. Call me crazy. Or lazy. Or old!

I am now off to visit you all and see what you've been up to. I'm afraid I've been a lazy blogger this last week and took some time off so I'm excited to get all caught up, I'll be by soon!

Sares: My dear friend, how are you? I love it when you visit me. It makes me feel so good. You were my first real friend in Blogland, so dear to my heart you are. Noah made his own tree this year. I will picture it some time this month. How are your nephews? Big I am sure! I am going to pray that you do extremely well this Christmas season in your booth. I love how everything looks. Then, you always have had a great eye for how things should look. Remember, I love you and have a great week. Blessings, Martha

Sares, your Jazzy spot is wonderful! you have so many neat things and you did a great job fixing it up for the holidays too. I hate shopping the day after Thanksgiving or should I say early morning...I much rather shop the cyber monday in my pj's and sleep socks..LOL! Have a sweet day friend! Hugs, Jennifer

You did such a beautiful job decorating your booth. Every treasure is so magical! I love the holidays. :) I passed on all the Black Friday madness years ago - I prefer shopping online while in my jammies. :) Much saner that way. :) Thanks for sharing all these goodies! Theresa

Who would have thought this little adventure would turn out so magical for all of you?

I love having a booth and it's fun to see what folks buy from me. I can hardly wait to roll out January in my booth. Were still making money and the funny thing is...people usually buy what I don't think will sell first.

Awesome job Sares! We are coming through your town in early Feb. again to the antique show in Portland as long as the snow stays in the North Pole.

I'm happy over on my wild adventure down the rabbit hole to Christmas Land!
