Antique Fest Goodies

OK Ya'll. Here is some of what I have been working on for our upcoming
Antique Fest this weekend. This shabby little chair was a $2 buy that had
seen it's better days. I painted it a sweet yellow and tossed a vintage pillow
on it for effect! Don't look too closely, it still has a chunk missing from
one of the corners, but I think that gives it more character. Right?!

This little fold up chair was actually a freebie from the people that own the
shop our booth is in. They are downsizing and needed to get rid of some
of the extras. I got this extra and so far it's one of my favorite makeovers.

A little black spray paint and some leftover toile fabric to cover the seat, throw
in a little trim to cover the staple mistakes and it came out pretty cute I think.

A $5 find at the Goodwill. MAN they mark furniture down cheap during
garage sale season when they need to move it. During the winter the prices
were outrageous. I bet they would have had $15-$20 on this a few months
ago.

I forgot the before picture. Just imagine your basic brown stain.

Another Goodwill piece. Before.

And after.
It was fun to makeover but reattaching the handles turned out
to be a bit of a nightmare. Don't ask. You don't want to know, LOL!

If any of the handles look SLIGHTLY crooked. Pretend you didn't
notice. Or it's just your computer. Or my picture. Or your eyes.

An old window I added images to. I thought it turned out rather cute. I saw
this idea on other blogs, as did my Aunt, so I thought I would give it a whirl.

Another window. This one is my favorite!

The backside of the flower window. It could be reversible too.

A tray I revamped. It's been sitting in our booth for a couple of months. It
had a blueberry theme. I know. Ick. No offense to you blueberry lovers. It's
just a very "select" theme. Hopefully this will sell quicker.

A table I created from a lamp base and a silver tray. I thought it could
be cute on a patio. It could work as an end table too.

So, we'll see what sells. Hopefully we'll have a GIGANTIC check
at the end of the month!

Sares...I want to visit your booth!!!!! I love everything and you have inspired me with the windows and simply taking that octagon(?) shaped table from the 80's and making it shabby and awesome!!!!!!
You are amazing. Thank you so much for sharing! Do you ever let others use a photo of yours if we link back? I would only do it to inspire others and tell them to go to your blog NOW to see more and get lots of great tips and ideas. No problem if you prefer not to do that:)
Happy Thursday,
Suzanne

Hi Sares,
I love everything that you have revamped. Your booth has to be gorgeous and I wish I could shop there.

I think the lamp base and the silver ray is a brillant idea. It looks kinda like a birdbath.

Thanks for the tray idea. I have a few wooden trays in my booth that just arent' selling. I might have to borrow your ideas.

I'm sure everything is going to sell out.

hugs
Sissie

SARES MY GIRL,
YOU HAVE DONE AN AWESOME JOB. IF I LIVED BY UOU I WOULD CERTAINLY TAKE THE BLACK CHAIR, THE DESK AND THAT AWESOME TRAY YOU MADE INTO A TABLE....I THOUGHT AT FIRST IT LOOKED LIKE A STUNNING BIRD BATH. I WOULD SET A PLANT ON IT...YOU SHOULD MAKE A SCRAPBOOK OF ALL YOUR REDO'S AND WHAT THEY COST....WHAT YOU PUT INTO THEM TO REDO IT....AND THEN WHAT YOU SOLD IT FOR....A PORTIFOLIO.
YOU GO GIRL
I HAVE NEVER SEEN A DESK THAT HAD BIG ROUND BALLS ON THE FEET...IT IS AWESOME...SET YOUR CHAIR YOU PAINTED BLACK BY IT

Busy hands you have had there Sares...love all the makeovers but I think those handles were trying to tell you something. I would have preferred something more vintage on that piece. My favourite is the combination of the tray and lampbase...great idea!
