Busy as a BEE...

Here's a sample of what I've been up to all week. Getting ready for the
next big round of things to be added to All That Jazz. We are focusing
on Spring "stuff" and trying to get some furniture pieces in place to
produce a larger profit margin, LOL!

So here are some picket signs I whipped out, they were fun to make but

the pink and purple didn't show up as well as I would have liked.

Paint, paint and more paint.

More paint, PRIMER to be exact. I hate this stuff, but it's a necessary
evil when covering icky furniture with nasty stains.

Prime on Sares. Prime on. I primed EVERYTHING in site.

Now this little piece was a mess. I forgot to take the before picture, I
remembered after I started priming and ran for the camera.

Two different kinds of wood. A hole in the back, cracks on the inside.
Yep, a mess. But I see her potential and I am excited about the
finished product!

Another beauty needing some TLC. Poor thing was ripped apart from
another half of a vanity somewhere along the line. I think we overpaid
for this piece and hope we can recoup the monies spent.

A week in the life of an aspiring~ junking~crafting~entrepreneur,
that and taking care of the Man
Cub and his big sister while their
Mama is working.

I am afraid it's made me rather lax in the blogging department.
Has anyone else been
lazy about blogging or is it just me?
I just can NOT seem to get in the
GROOVE!!!

Ooooh lots of cool stuff there Sares. Plenty to keep you busy and I know what it's like when you have your head down and bum up painting. Can't wait to see the results of your enthusiastic efforts.

Let the entrepreneurs rule! LOL!!

Sares, it looks like you will be busy for a while. One ?. Do you paint by hand? I got some points that will make your life easier. I specialized in painted furniture. I did it the hard way until I discovered it is all about the tools. I could not get my email to work in the new computer, but if you are interested in finding out more just email me at the address in my profile. Blessings, Marta.

My goodness Sares you have been so busy with all that furniture. You have some great pieces, and I can't wait to see the results of all your hard work.
As far as the sheet music on the back of the mirror, it was so easy. The silvering had worn off the back of the mirror naturally and so I just tea stained the music and then lightly modge podged the paper to the back of the mirror. I only put the adhesive to the part of the paper that would be on the silvering and not where the paper would show through.

Looks like you are one busy bee!! Love those pickets, they are great!
I am sure your other pieces will turn out really good.
I had to slow down on blogging but only because I am so exhausted! I only read blogs a couple days a week too. It was easy to do when I was unemployed, but that darn thing called a job sure has gotten in the way!

Hi Sares!!!

Girl. I. am. lonesome. for. you!!!!
:)
I loved catching up with you here and I'm happy to know that you haven't had the time to blog much either. I don't know if it's "Spring Fever" or what but the computer is the last place I want to be...I just can't stay home! haha

I'm loving "All That Jazz" and it looks fabulous. Your furniture will look beautiful once your finished. But a word of advice...you better keep on priming because I have a feeling that they won't stay long in your space!!! :)

Loved your post about your Mother for Mother's Day...she is gorgeous. And the horses...wow! The barn seems a great place to just escape from it all...it's so peaceful!

Hope you are priming it up and having a good weekend my friend!!!

Hi Sares,
My very favorite in Feed the Birds...cute as a bluebird for sure!
I'm with you regarding blogging, I'm so tired this last week, I have not had much energy for anything. Going to bed at 8pm wiped out!
However, tomorrow..it's all about fun! Perhaps a little trip to Snohomish would be fun or garage sales!
YES, I agree, some key cute furniture pieces are the ticket to making the bottom line grow. Give it some time, you will build the repeat customer from now until Christmas. I hope your booth proves me true! Wink!

Hello Sares~you have been a busy priming bee! I'm trying to motivate myself to paint my dinette. The top of the table looks a bit rough. It probably doesn't help to use it for working on craft projects.
I look forward to your reveal.

We've had some (long awaited) sunshine, it has been a big distraction.
Sweet wishes,
Sara

Hi Sares,
Wow! You have been busy. I've been priming and painting a lot here too. Just for me though. lol I just put a post up yesterday. I hadn't blogged since April 20th. Just been so busy. I started my vacation today so I thought I would catch up some. Tomorrow I will get out the paint again. I'm re-decorating my bedroom. Fun! All of your pieces are going to be so pretty.

I think I shared that 'just can't get back my momentum' in blogging the other day ... it is not just you, sweetie.

Love your furniture! Going to be fab when you are done with them ... & those darling stakes for the gardens are cute as can be.

Reply ~ To plant all of the 700 plants was done in 3 phases ... total hours is approx. 12+ ... I break it up into non-tiring segments tho ... 4 days in total.

Have a fabulous week.
