Oops...

I'm A

To all of you who kindly commented on my Awards post, I thank you. My
intention was not to brag myself up and say LOOK AT ME. I had moved
all my awards to it's own post and thought that if I published it under a
December 2009 date, it would mix in with the other posts and NOT
show up on your dashboards.

I was wrong.

I was just a wee bit embarrassed by this mistake, I did not mean
to so
aggressively flaunt my awards page, LOL! After nearly a year
I'm STILL trying figure things
out about Blogger. Live and learn.

Now my loveleighs...are you ready for a Monday morning cry? The good
kind? My
Aunt emailed this to me and I was very near tears the entire
time. I held back,
barely. I think the music had a little something to do
with it. Videos with
animals get me every time.

So sit back and enjoy and I hope you all have a fabulous week!

LOL! Silly goose indeed (that makes two of us) ... I quite enjoyed looking at all your awards.
I must apologise for not replying to your email Sares ... I thought I had, but my mind is in such a muddle at present, I don't quite know whether I am Arthur or Martha!
Warmest hugs,

Ding-dang Awards anyway! No, you aren't a silly goose. The whole issue of Awards and what to do about them, has been an on-going discussion in Blog Land. If you haven't seen it, you probably will. It never goes away.

See, many of us don't like Awards. Yes, they are given out by sweet bloggers, for good reasons. But... All the instructions to Pass Them On and etc., can be very troublesome. And they clog up our Sidebars. Etc.

And sometimes, it gets so Awards are flying, hither and yon, like a blizzard! It gets rather silly.

So, there are those of us who simply do not put them on our Sidebars, and have not, for a long time. We used to put a "No Awards Here, Please" button on our Sidebars. But I haven't bothered with that for a long time.

Anyway, do not feel concerned, about this. Know there are bloggers out here, who want to give you a hug and say; "Fiddle-dee-dee on all of it" :-)

And now, for something different, as 'they' say! Will you please be so kind as to come over and see a different side of 'Ol' Auntie'..., on this first Monday in 2010? ,-)

Hugs...

That video puts my life in perspective this morning for sure. The dedication from "mans best friend" is something never to be mocked or squaltered. Inspirational even for the cat lovers...smile!
I would never ever think your silly goose moment was pride. Smiling from rainy day Washington.

Hi Sares!

You are a silly goose...worrying about us thinking that you are "bragging" about awards that you so richly deserve!

Now, I will give you a bit of a tongue lashing...do you how long it took me to compose myself to be able to respond to this post after viewing that video?!!! LOL

It was truly heartwarming and such a great message...as an educator at heart I was thinking of how often we try to steer children into occupations/jobs/college/etc. that doesn't really fit them either, just b/c it is our dream for them! People, like pets, really do flourish when they do something that they truly love!

Hope you are staying warm this evening. Looks like a major storm is going to be moving into the Midwest on Wednesday from the Pacific Northwest.
