A Trip To The Barn...

The King

Last week I went with my Mom and Aunt out to the barn where they
board their horses. I hadn't been there for a few months, since the cold
winter months had set in. I figured since things had warmed up a bit I
would see what they've been up to out in ponyville.

I said it had warmed up SOME. Inside the barn it was still freezing.
Trust me when I tell you I did not overdress. I suppose if I had been doing
something other than standing around taking pictures, I would have been
warmer.

The King's private pen.

King is my Mom's horse. He's such a handsome boy, I wish I
had his beautiful flowing mane. I'll pass on the whiskers.

The Copper Pony, my Aunt's horse. He is always so friendly and willing

to give loves. He even nickered at me when I called his name and
I'm pretty sure he has no clue who I am.

Another horse from the barn, I thought he was so pretty, especially his
coloring and fluffy mane.

One of the barn cats, Macgyver. He was featured on my last Pink
Saturday
post. He's a gorgeous cat and very friendly.

CowgirlJLynn, my Mom

The videos are fun to watch is you have an extra minute. They're both
short. The first one is King King trying to chew on the cross ties.
I guess he was bored. Big GOOF!

The second video is King rolling around before he has to saddle
up and go to work.

Finally, the King being made to earn his keep and let his Cowgirl get
a ride in.

Just another day at the barn!

What lovely photos and videos. The King is one smooth walking pony. And the Copper Pony will recognize you when he smells you, even tho it has been a while since you last let him smell you. My fav photo: the grin on your mom's face when she is sitting on her King.

Great pics! I love barns...when they aren't so cold......if I'm working w/my horse I have no problems staying warm, but standing around is not so good! :)

King was so white, then not so white! Oh, the joy of white horses! Believe me, I know!! Mine loves the mud!
Yep, it is always colder in a barn, I work in one so I know how cold it can get!
Glad you got to go out and hang with the horses!

Oh Sarea, what handsome horses! They remind me of my childhood, when we moved from the city to the country. I actually thought we'd moved out of state, because I wasn't use to seeing people ride their horses to the store to do their shopping.

Sweet wishes,
Sara
