Magical Disney Sunday

Happy Magical Disney Sunday!

Stop and see Heidi from Fairy Footprints in the Sand to find more
Disney Magic today.

I found this pretty song and video on YouTube and thought it would
make a fun and easy post. I thought the song was beautiful. It's called
"If You Can Dream" and it's a great place to see all the Disney Princesses
together. There are quite a few of them now!

I hope your day is full of MAGIC!

Pink Saturday

What's a girl to do Thanksgiving night after the turkey has settled? Bring

out the PINK! I spent two hours putting together this pretty little thing
to go in my bedroom. I splurged and spent about $25 on ornaments from
$ Tree and WalMart's dollar section. I like it for a change. I've never had a
pink tree before. See what you've all DONE to me!!!

Happy Pink Saturday and be sure to visit Beverly at How Sweet The
Sound for all the pink links.

Goodwill had the whole store 50% off!!! You know what that
means...WOO HOO! I'll hook back up with you pretty ladies
next week. I hope the Holiday was wonderful for you all!

Pink Saturday is brought to us by our fabulous hostess Beverly of
How Sweet The Sound, as I'm sure you all know by now, her fame has
spread far and wide! If you visit her blog you will find all the pink links.

While surfing the internet waves, do you all do that too? I hope I'm not
the only one, I came upon these beautiful pictures taken by Steven
Randazzo. They were featured in Country Living Magazine (LOVE IT)
and are pictures from the home of one Anna Florio. She has amazing
pink style and I knew my fellow pinkies would truly appreciate it,
if you haven't seen and appreciated it already! The Google link is
HERE if you wish to see more.

Have you finished drooling? Gorgeous right!

I'd like to thank everyone that attended my Name Party, it was so
neat to read everyone's stories. Stories of family heritage, nicknames
given out of love and the special care taken to name a blog. They were
all amazing and thoughtful and unique to the individual. I want to thank
each one of the ladies that took the time to share, it was a very heart-
warming experience and I'm so glad I got to learn more about you all.

I'm also going to announce my Christmas Movie Giveaway winners,
thank you to everyone that signed up for a chance.

So without further ado

The Winners are...

Congratulations to the winners! I'll be contacting you about
which movie will go to which winner.

Happy Pink Saturday everyone and have a loveleigh weekend!

A Rose By Another Name Party!!!

Grandma

What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet...

WELCOME! Please come in so I can share with you the history

of a little name called SARES...

SARES is a nickname created and given to me by my Grandma. For those
of you that
have been puzzled as to how to pronounce it, just rhyme it
with the any of
the following...
cares
pears
lairs
fairs
wears
hairs
SARES

you get the idea!

My beautiful Grandma with a baby Cousin and my little Sister

When I was in high school, I used to spend one or two weekends a
month with my Grandparents. I'd do housework for her and earn
some spending money. On one such occa
sion, we were watching TV and
a movie came on. It was a movie about a woman that lived a pioneer
life, in a little cabin and her last name happened to be Sayerwood. She told
me this is where she derived the name S
ARES. This is where is gets
a little murky for me. I don't know WHY exactly, I think she said
because the SARE part rhym
es with my first name.

Nevertheless, the name stuck and occasionally that's what my
Dad's side of the family would call me. Sometimes there would be a "Bop"
or a "Bopper" attached making it SARES A Bop. Silly right?! But I've
come to discover that sometimes the silly things created with family are
the ones that hold the most sentimental value and lasting memories.

It wasn't used much, but I always liked being called SARES and
it always gave me a warm feeling when I heard it. It's taken on
special significance since my Grandma has since passed away.
When I took my blog public, I didn't want to use my first name,
so I decided to go with SARES and I can't tell you all how it does
my heart good to see this name in print and be called SARES by
so many new blogging friends
. It was the perfect choice for me.

Twins CowgirlJLynn and Dusty Devoe

Now, a little inside history on the name of my blog. When I began, my blog
was just a private affair for family and a place for me to play and create. I
debated the name for weeks before I even created the blog and finally
landed on Loveleigh Treasures. The spelling in the LoveLEIGH is taken
from my middle name, which is Leigh. I DO know how to spell the real
word correctly peeps, in case you were suspicious!

My middle name comes to me from my Auntie. My Mom is a twin and
her twin sister's middle name is Lee. My Mom changed up the spelling
though, she liked the Leigh spelling better and thought it was more
feminine. She sometimes has grand ideas, but I've always rather liked it!

That about sums it all up for me, I hope I didn't bore you all too
much with fam
ily folklore! I'll also announce the winners of the
my Movie Giveaway on Friday. Good luck to everyone!

I'd like to thank you all for joining me and I can't wait to hear
your stories. I'm also posting a bit earlier than I intended, but a wind-
storm is on the way and in case of a power outage I wanted to make
sure it got posted first. Please add your name to McLinky and
have a fantastic time at the party!

Auntie's Little Hobos

These two littlest members of the family recently had the opportunity to
attend a Halloween Carnival. They needed some costumes whipped up in
a jiffy so what is an Auntie to do? Turn the little rug rats into hobos. I
thought they turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself and it was a free
fix. What more could you ask for?!

On a side note, if you are planning to attend my Name Party, don't
forget it's
this Thursday, I already sent most of you reminders.
I'll have the party posted at 12:00 AM Thursday morning along with
Mr.
Linky, hopefully I figured out to work that particular gadget properly!

I'll see you all there on Thursday, until then have a loveleigh week!

Magical Disney Sunday

MAGICAL DISNEY SUNDAY is brought to us by our magical
hostess Heidi, at Fairy footprints in the Sand. If you want to read
more Disney posts, visit her for the other links.

While going through old pictures last week, I came upon these pictures
of my big sister on the occasion of her 3rd Birthday. At least that's how
old I assume she is since there are only 3 candles on the cake! Notice
the Mickey Mouse cake, it had to have been store bought I'm
thinking, which was rare. Mom usually made our Birthday cakes. My
sister's big gift for this birthday...a spanking new shiny red tricycle! Her
first set of wheels.

I think she's sweet! She still is, LOVE you SIS!
